The CME programme of APSI was named after Dr. Charles Pinto from year 1992 onwards. A sum of Rs 40000/- , saved during APSICON '86 was received from Dr. K.S. Goleria for this purpose. later a sum of Rs 10000/-was donated by Mrs. Pinto. Some other sums were a/so added later.

Every year during the Annual Conference of APSI, a symposium will be held. The topic for the symposium shall be decided one year in advance. The topic shall be proposed by the Executive body of the APSI and then approved by the General Body of APSI. The General Body of the APSI shall elect the convener for the symposium. The Chairperson of the symposium shall be President of UP Chapter for that year. In his absence he shall nominate a senior person to chair the session.
The award shall consist of certificate and cash. The interest accrued on corpus shall be equally divided amongst the participants of the symposium. It will go towards their efforts involved in the preparation of the slides, etc for the presentation. At the end of the session, the chairperson, on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Chapter shall hand over the certificates and cheques to the convener and participants.
Started with Rs 12,500/- collected by Prof. J.K. Sinha, in 1989-90.
To be given to the best article published in the Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery in the preceding year. Cash award of Rs 1000/-. Award to be given to the first author of the article, He/She should be a member of the Association, It should reflect his actual work, should not have been published earlier. A committee consisting of President, Secretary and Editor to decide the best paper.
Corpus of Rs 2 lakh formed from the savings of APSICON '94 held at Lonavala.
A full member of more than 10 years of standing for any project related to Plastic Surgery. The venture may be a clinical study, a research project, a camp in another country, training in specialised field etc. The proposal to be sent to the Secretary well before the National Meeting. The selection to be carried out by the Executive Council.
